Draft: not yet reviewed by a lawyer. This is how we intend to work, written plainly. It may change as How We Saw It develops, and anything marked “to be decided” has not been decided yet.
Terms
Last updated 13 October 2026
These terms cover using How We Saw It to collect memories of an experience. Questions go to hello@howwesawit.com.
What's free
Starting an experience, inviting people, adding memories, photographs and recordings, and reading the collection are free. Contributors never need an account.
What you add
- Your memories, photographs and recordings stay yours. You give us permission to store them, show them to the people in your experience, and use them to make that experience's story, as described on our privacy page.
- Only add photographs and recordings you have the right to share, and please be kind: these are other people's memories too.
- The creator looks after their experience and can correct, leave out or remove what is added to it. We may remove content that is unlawful or abusive.
How long the service runs
We keep experiences and stories online while they exist and the service runs. We don't promise permanent hosting; if that ever changes, we will give notice so you can download what you want to keep.
The legal part
To be decided: the operating entity, governing law (presumably the province it is based in), and limitation of liability, written by a lawyer
